A teacher from San Fernando, Pampanga went viral on social media after showcasing his ‘unique’ way of teaching his students.
28-year-old MAPEH teacher Clinton Miguel said that he decided to conduct a game-based learning technique to improve his students’ grades.
Tumatatak po talaga ‘yung lesson sa kanila kapag ganun ‘yung ginagawa,” he told The Philippine STAR.
According to Clinton, his game show-like classroom set up would take an hour to put up inside the learning area.
Due to scarcity of learning devices, he opted to invest on these things to further improve the learning experience of his students.
Clinton is currently a grade 7 and 9 teacher at the St. Vincent of Quebiawan Integrated School City in San Fernando, Pampanga.
He conducts the game show-based learning every quarter to help his students review for the exams.
“As per my school head, sobrang grateful niya na napaka-innovative ko daw.
Clinton’s unique way of teaching was an instant hit on social media. As of writing, the uploaded video on TikTok has already garnered more than 600,000 views.
“Maganda ‘to! Congrats, sir!” a netizen commented.
“I think pwede ‘to gamitin if mag papagraded recitation para hindi mahiya ang mga students na sumagot! Nice concept, sir!” another netizen said.
At mapa-feel sa kanila na learning is fun and enjoyable,” Clinton noted.
Clinton hopes to inspire other educators to try this kind of teaching method to be a great help to their students.
“I think ‘yung pinaka importante dito is ito ‘yung passion ko, kaya siguro nagagawa ko ang lahat ng ‘to. In fact, lahat ng sweldo ko, nagagamit ko na pambili ng gadget na ‘to para magamit ng mga bata,” he stressed.
