These teachers from Baybay National High School wowed netizens with a “birit” performance that recently went viral on social media.
“Kapag may mga programs or events, kami talaga kumakanta. And I’m proud to say na kahit wala kaming gano’n kahabang preparation for practice, may mga guts pa rin kaming mag-perform,” Teacher Jecho Antonio Rosello told the Philippine STAR.
In the video, the group of teachers enjoyed singing “Never Enough” from the ‘Greatest Showman’ musical drama.
Teacher Jecho said that she did not expect that the video would go viral on social media.
“Nakaka-overwhelm din, at the same time, nakakataba ng puso kasi kahit gano’n kaikli lang ‘yung preparations namin, nakakaperform pa rin kami nang maayos,” he shared.
Netizens lauded the singing talent of the teachers. As of writing, the uploaded video on social media has already garnered more than 500,000 views on TikTok.
“Grabe sir pag ganto teachers ko di na ako uuwi,” a netizen commented.
“Pag kami gumawa nito alam ko na saang part ako sir—-ako yung nagrerecord ?,” another netizen said in a jest.
Jecho hopes to inspire other people to share and showcase their talent as it might bring happiness to other people.
“Ma’am, Sir, ‘pag may talent po kayo, puwede niyo po ‘yang i-share sa mundo, puwede niyo po ‘yang i-share sa classroom, sa lahat — sa society, or maka-perform kayo sa programs or in any way na puwede niyong ma-share ang inyong mga talents,” he said.
