Squid Game star Jung Ho-yeon’s 2022 has turned out to be just as eventful as the year 2021 when Netflix’s most popular series took the globe by storm.
During a media conference last Friday, the model-turned-actress spoke about the top career milestones she has had this year.
She started with one of the momentous moments an actor could have – attending the Emmy Awards with a loved one.
“I brought my mom to the Emmy Awards so that was one of the biggest things that happened in my life,” she said.
Ho-yeon was nominated in this year’s Emmy Awards for her outstanding performance as a supporting actress in her debut show Squid Game.
The Korean star added her win for best performance by a female actor in a drama series at the SAG Awards also made her year even more memorable.
She shared: “I remember the SAG Awards because the feeling that day. I’ve never been through that rollercoaster in just two hours so it kind of stayed with in me until now.”
Last but definitely not the least was working with Hollywood star Cate Blanchett and Alfonso Cuaron for the upcoming Apple+ TV series Disclaimer.
“I had a chance to work with Alfonso Cuaron and Cate Blanchett. It was one of the kind of magical, surreal experience in my life,” she said.
Ho-yeon finally met her Filipino supporters at her first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines last November 11 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
