Angelica Panganiban opened up about the challenges of breastfeeding as she takes on her new role as a newbie mom to her newborn daughter.
In a Youtube video, the actress and her fiancé Gregg Homan spoke about the hardships they encountered as first-time parents while they were out on a parking lot date.
While Gregg spoke about being sleepless during this phase of parenthood, Angelica shared her thoughts on breastfeeding and shared how going into labor was easier.
“Yung breastfeeding kasi mas mahirap siya labor. Yung labor kasi alam mong may katapusan, alam mo parang 24 hours siguro maximum tapos ka na.
“Matatapos at matatapos din yan pero yung breastfeeding – wow, ilang taon to? Ilang taon ‘tong commitment na gagawin mo, yung discipline, yung commitment yung pain na titiisin mo para lang makakain anak mo,” she shared.
This commitment to breastfeeding, the 35-year-old shared, is the reason why she’s in awe of her fellow moms.
She added: “Napaka-saludo ko talaga sa lahat ng mga pa-dede moms dahil nakakabilib yung mga ginagawa niyo.”
In a past Instagram post, Angelica shared her newfound “wealth” – her breastmilk.
“Mga kayaman ko lately, bukod syempre sa anak ko,” she wrote in the caption.
