Pen Medina was happy to share that his major surgical treatment for his spine disorder was a success.
The veteran actor took to social media to thank his doctors and supporters for their support and prayers while he overcomes his medical condition.
“Praise God for making my Spinal Surgery safe and successful. Maraming salamat sa aking Spine Surgeon Dr. Romel Estillore at kanyang team, my Anesthesiologist Dra. Lota Ticman at sa aking Ortho Doctor Dr. Misael Ticman, sa kanyang walang sawa at walang pagod na pagtulong at pag-alalay sa amin,” he wrote on his post.
The 71-year-old revealed that his fight continues as his medical team will be addressing the “accompanying infection”.
It was just weeks ago when Pen’s family called for financial help to support his treatment for degenerative disc disease.
They wrote on a social media post: “Due to the pandemic, our dad scarcely had any work, which siphoned his savings over the past two years. We are trying to help him as best as we can but it will be a long road to sufficient recovery for him.
“We humbly appeal for your charitable help and prayers as our family navigates through helping him get back on his feet – literally and figuratively.”
