Luis Manzano gave advice to newbies in the showbiz industry and looked back on his experience as a long-time actor and host in Francine Diaz’s latest vlog.
Luis guested on the young actress’ YouTube channel that was uploaded on July 16 wherein Francine was able to talk and mingle with him.
She asked the actor and host what advice would he give to artists like her who are just starting their journey in the showbiz industry.
“Maligo,” Luis joked. “[Hindi], kailangan ma-comprehend ng mga artista, lalong lalo na yung mga baguhan, na gulong lang yan. It’s the reality, umiikot lang yan. Hindi pwedeng araw-araw kang sikat.”
Luis continued that one could experience being the toast of the town one day, but would experience receiving and doing nothing in the industry in the next.
“Ngayon, kung blessed ka, kung pagtrabahuhan mo pwede ka naman bumalik dun eh (to the limelight). Hindi continuous na nandoon ka sa taas,” he said.
He also said that the newbies in showbiz should appreciate the people around them, particularly the people behind the camera. “Kung pagod ang mga artista, times 10 ang pagod sa likod ng camera,” Luis said.
“Hindi porket artista ka mas mataas kang tao kumpara sa iba.” he added.
In the latter part of the video, during the “Lie detector challenge” segment on Francine’s vlog, the young actress asked Luis if there was an instance where he wanted to quit showbiz.
“Mayroon na bang instance na ginusto mo na mag quit, at ano or sino po ang dahilan?” Francine asked, to which Luis answered with a “yes” without any hesitation.
“Yes. Yung mga ibang mga tao talaga hindi alam kung papaano ang industriya. Ang nakikita kasi ng mga tao most of the time ay yung glitz and glamor,” the actor-host said.
“Pero kung alam niyo lang kung gaano rin kadumi ang industriya – kung papaano talaga. People will never understand it,” he added.
