Rufa Mae Quinto is in mourning after her brother, Vincent Sy, had passed away.

The actress-comedienne shared the sad news on her Instagram page last Wednesday, April 7, saying that her brother’s passing is the reason she went back to the Philippines from the United States.

She began her post with a short prayer, saying: “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”

Rufa Mae, then, concluded her post by expressing the pain of losing a sibling and her love for Vincent.

“Umuwi pala kami ni (Athena Alexandria) galing America para sa’yo, Vincent, ang pogi at mabait kong kapatid,” she said. “Mahal ka namin, (Vincent). Grabe pala malagasan ng kapatid. Iba din.”

Rufa Mae did not mention Vincent’s cause of death in her post.

Her celebrity colleagues like Jaya, Ogie Alcasid and Vina Morales expressed their condolences in the comments section.
