Rabiya Mateo has ‘palaban’ clapbacks for her bashers

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo had savage responses to negative comments on her recent TikTok video.

Sharing a throwback video of her practicing her signature walk in red two-piece swimsuit, Rabiya reminisced about her training days leading to the Miss Universe pageant in the USA in May 2021.

“Namiss ko din maglakad na parang mababale na yung balakang ko. Can we go back in time and start all over again?” Rabiya wrote in the caption.

While fans of Rabiya showered her with support, the Ilongga beauty queen stood up against those who left catty remarks on her TikTok video.

“Wag na talo ka naman eh,” a TikTok user wrote.

Rabiya laughingly responded, “Hahaha talo nga pero ganito naman po yung face ko, panalo padin. Kesa naman po ganyan mukha ko kagaya nyo, nako forever talo talaga ako nyan hahahaha.”

“Nagprivate siya ih hahaha,” Rabiya added after the said TikTok user set her account to private.

A TikTok fanpage of Rabiya also managed to have a copy of Rabiya’s other “palaban” replies to her bashers who made demeaning comments on her Top 21 finish at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.

“No. You had your turn, you flopped already,” said a netizen.

To which Rabiya replied: “Happy to have that experience. Who hurt you? Continue to hide in the dummy account. Karma has its way to find you. Hahahaha Lagot ka! Dapat ka matakot!”

“Talunan,” another one wrote. “Bayaran hahahaha,” answered Rabiya.

A netizen also had something to say about Rabiya’s pasarela: “Naku Rabiya medyo di ko bet rampa mo.”

Rabiya hit back saying, “Same. Di din kita bet po. Hahaha. Bakit ka ba andito? Hahaha.”

Some fans of Rabiya, meanwhile, came to the beauty queen-turned-actress’ defense.

“Yaan mo na mga basher. Habang puro sama ng ugali pinapakita nila tayo umaabante lang sa buhay. Kung sa teleserye, tayo yung bida, sila kontrabida,” Rabiya told a fan.

“My account, my rules. Go somewhere else since you have grace and poise.”

Rabiya then thanked her supporters, saying that she was all set to give her full support to the next Philippine bet after her ending her pageantry journey.

“Thank you as warmest support guys. These were my training videos. Tapos na po laban natin. Time ko naman maging supportive Ate sa next MUPH,” she said.

The 25-year-old, who signed with GMA Network after her beauty pageant stint, recently confirmed her relationship with Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales.
