Kit Thompson has been arrested for allegedly physically assaulting his showbiz newcomer girlfriend at a hotel in Tagaytay City.
A photo shared by News5 on Facebook showed the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate behind bars at a Tagaytay police station following reports that he allegedly detained and injured his girlfriend.
Initial report said that the victim was rescued by the police after receiving a call about a commotion at the hotel on Friday morning. She also sought help from her friends and sent a photo of her bruised face.
Kit, a resident of Angeles City in Pampanga, is detained at the Tagaytay police station, according to Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra. Yarra said policemen acted on an emergency call on 911 about a commotion at the hotel Friday morning.
Citing a police report, GMA News said that Kit got physical after having a heated argument with the victim, and allegedly assaulted and punched her on different parts of her body.
The victim was then rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment after she was rescued while Kit was brought to the police for investigation.
The actor is facing possible charges for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children law.
