Brightlight Productions debunks rumors about LOL going off-air

TV5 blocktimer Brightlight Productions has debunked rumors that noontime show LOL or Lunch Out Loud is going off-air.

“There NO truth to the claim that our noontime show, Lunch Out Loud (LOL), will go off-air any time soon,” read the official statement released by Brightlight Productions CEO Albee Benitez on Friday.

Benitez continued, “LOL’s ratings, gathered from Nielsen, have been thriving well and remained competitive vis-a-vis its rival shows’ ratings in Luzon and, on numerous occasions, even surpassed them in the Visayas and Mindanao”.

“It is truly unfortunate that such malicious rumor has been made to circulate. My political pursuit has absolutely nothing to do with the show,” added Benitez who is eyeing a mayoral seat in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

Benitez went on to slam the speculations which he described as “unfounded assertions, aimed solely to sow unnecessary intrigue, at the expense of innocent people’s livelihood”.

“The LOL family has strongly survived more than a year on-air, despite the pandemic. The show has a lot of exciting things to offer in the coming months.

“I would like to reassure the public that LOL stays committed in giving fun, laughter and prizes to every household”.

LOL hosts Billy Crawford, KC Montero, and Alex Gonzaga reposted Benitez’s statement on Instagram.

“Para sa lahat ng mga haters… sorry but we are here to stay”, said KC.

Aside from Billy, KC, and Alex, Bayani Agbayani, K Brosas, Wacky Kiray, Jeffrey Tam, and Laboching host the variety show which premiered in October 2020.
