Karla Estrada reacts to criticisms after appearance in BBM-Sara proclamation rally

Karla Estrada has reacted to criticisms after appearing in Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem UnitTeam’s proclamation rally.

The actress-host was among the celebrity guests who graced the stage campaign kickoff at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Tuesday, where she performed Pagsubok to the UniTeam supporters.

Karla’s guesting did not sit well with some netizens who slammed the actress for supporting UniTeam which includes some lawmakers who denied ABS-CBN’s bid for a franchise renewal.

Karla, who is running as Tingog Party-list nominee, meanwhile stressed in a statement on Wednesday that while her family members differ on political views, love, respect and understanding are what matters most to her.

“In our family, we always practice to respect each one’s opinion, and specially political views. Sinisiguro ko na sa aming tahanan pa lang ay buhay na ang mga karapatan ng aming mga boses at pananaw. At ang respeto ng mga anak ko, buong pamilya ko at mga taong bukas ang isip malawak ang pag intindi ang tanging importante sa buhay ko.”

Fans of Karla’s son Daniel Padilla, meanwhile, have noticed that the actor “liked” an anti-Marcos and Duterte post online.
