Kryz Uy, Slater Young share Supertyphoon Odette’s aftermath in Cebu

Kryz Uy and Slater Young took to social media to give a glimpse of the devastation caused by Supertyphoon Odette in their hometown in Cebu.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Slater shared his family and the residents’ situation during the aftermath of the supertyphoon in Cebu City.

“We are safe. Cebu’s a mess. No power. No net. Just got signal. People are lining up for water, food and gas,” said Slater.

“We have family members that lost their homes. Liteblock got looted. A lot of our employees are now homeless — using our factory as a temporary shelter for them. We’re trying to help out where we can. Praying for everyone,” he added.

Slater’s Instagram post came with clips of trees and electric posts toppled down by the typhoon.

Kryz, meanwhile, also shared an overview of the typhoon’s damages in several areas of the city, as well as their own home which they fondly called Sky Pod.

Odette made its seventh landfall in Carcar, Cebu at 10 p.m. on Thursday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

A Philstar.com report on Saturday said that the death toll of the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines this year has risen to 18, according to disaster agency NDRRMC.
