Kim Seon Ho removed from 2 Days 1 Night show, two upcoming films

South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho will no longer be appearing in the popular variety show 2 Days and 1 Night and two upcoming films after getting embroiled in a controversy with his ex-girlfriend.

The Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star has been in hot water after a netizen who claimed to be his ex-girlfriend recently accused him of forcing her to have an abortion on the “false” promise of marriage.

The netizen also claimed that after getting abortion, Seon Ho changed his tone and eventually broke up with her over the phone.

On Wednesday, through his agency Salt Entertainment, Seon Ho issued an apology to his ex-girlfriend for his “carelessness and inconsiderate actions.”

The actor also said sorry for “disappointing” fans and “causing trouble” to his co-stars.

Shortly after his public apology, reality-variety show 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4 released a statement announcing Seon Ho’s exit from the program.

“We have decided on the withdrawal of Kim Seon Ho, who was recently involved in a controversy,” read the show’s statement in a report by Soompi

“We will do our best to edit him out of the already filmed footage to reduce the discomfort felt by viewers,” it added.

The Korean entertainment news outlet also stated in another report that Seon Ho is no longer starring in the films Dog Days and 2 O’Clock Date, with their respective production companies set to look for new male leads for the movies.

The 35-year-old actor, who rose to fame after the 2020 hit series Start-Up, was also in talks to make his big-screen debut in Sad Tropics, but the production team has yet to reach a decision over the matter following the controversy.
