Celebrity doctors and couple Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho volunteered to administer COVID-19 vaccines to vulnerable groups at a barangay in Makati City on Tuesday.
“Recently, I’ve been thinking about my ‘why’. Being able to help others will always be one of them,” wrote Vicki in an Instagram post sharing photos of her and other volunteer doctors inoculating qualified residents of Brgy. Dasmariñas.
“It was an honor to serve with you ♥️,” added Vicki as she thanked the local government, the “COVID Task Force of Makati, Carrie Legazpi, and all the front liners present in CSA Makati today.”
In an Instagram story, Vicki encouraged others to get vaccinated against the coronavirus once it’s available for them.
“Happy to see more and more people coming in to get vaccinated. If it is available to you, go for it!” she wrote.
Hayden, meanwhile, shared a group photo and wrote: “Jab n’ Go! Thank you @barangaydasmarinas for letting us serve with you. #VaccineSavesLives.”
Brgy. Dasmarinas’ official Instagram account said that on Tuesday, their last day of vaccination, they were able to get 132 seniors inoculated against COVID-19.
According to the Department of Health, the country has 120,006 total active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, April 20.
