Celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez revealed reasons why they opted to postpone having a family.

In their Behind Relationship Goals podcast, the couple said they want to enjoy their lives as a married couple and work opportunities.

“We want to enjoy our married life as a couple, but we also have work opportunities, and we wanted to, you know, make the most out of it,” Megan said on the latest podcast uploaded on their YouTube channel.

“We want to make the most out of us just being together as a couple, na wala pa tayong ibang responsibility kundi ang isa’t-isa,” the 31-year-old Miss World 2013 and actress added.

Mikael said they came up with the decision based on their relatives and friends’ parenting experiences.

“We saw what kind of changes their lifestyle went through. Of course, we saw the love that they give to their baby, but we were able to use them and their stories as — I guess input, to be able to come to the best decision for ourselves,” he explained, clarifying that he and his wife do not have regrets on their decision.

Megan and Mikael added they believe that the right time for having a family is yet to come.

Working nonstop, Mikael said that the couple would wake up at 7 a.m. and sometimes end their day at 11 p.m.

“That will be 14 hours straight of work, being on the computer, shooting our content, editing it as well, coordinating with admin and our teams, so it’s a crazy process,” the 33-year-old actor said.

Megan said she was amazed by all influencers and celebrities of the same age who can juggle motherhood and work.

“I’m looking at Instagram all the moms na ka-age ko who are influencers, mga artista and I’m like ‘wow.’ I can’t believe that they have so much energy to be able to work, to be able to take care of their family, and still look great,” she said while chuckling.

Looking at their current situation, Mikael noted that, “Whenever you make a choice, you can always think of the regret that choice would give you, but you can also look on the bright side.”
