Xian Lim has spoken up about the horrific incident that his girlfriend experienced on Wednesday morning.
“Thank you to everyone who expressed their prayers and concern,” Xian began his Instagram post, accompanied by an all-black image.
“We can never explain why these horrible things happen. Thankfully there are no casualties. Thank you God for always being by our side,” he added.
Kim Chiu was on her way to her taping for Love Thy Woman when the van she was in was shot multiple times by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen at Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City early Wednesday.
After worries and concern poured out on social media, Kim assured via an Instagram post that she and her companions were unharmed, saying, “Papa Jesus protected us.”

In a TV Patrol interview, an emotional Kim said she doesn’t have any clue over the possible motive of the suspects and questioned why such things happen. (READ: ‘Why are those things happening?’: Kim Chiu clueless over motive of gunmen who shot her van)
“Kung di ako humiga, tatamaan talaga ako. Wala naman akong kasalanan. Di ko alam what’s happening. Di ko alam kung may kaaway ako, wala naman” she shared.
