WATCH: Blackpink drops debut album, music video for Lovesick Girls

The Album in ya area! 

K-pop girl group Blackpink finally released their much-awaited first full-length studio album, as well as the music video for their new single Lovesick Girls on Friday.

The eight-track The Album comes four years after the quartet composed of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé debuted in 2016.

The collection features Blackpink’s pre-released singles How You Like That and Ice Cream featuring American pop star Selena Gomez. 

Among the other brand-new songs are Pretty Savage, Crazy Over You, Love To Hate Me, You Never Know, Bet You Wanna in collaboration with American rapper Cardi B and their title track Lovesick Girls, which had Jennie and Jisoo among the lyricists.

In a report by Korean entertainment news site Soompi, the group’s label YG Entertainment revealed that The Album already has one million pre-orders.

As of writing, the hashtags #Blackpink, #TheAlbum and #LovesickGirls are topping Twitter’s trending list.
