MMFF chair Danilo Lim announced in December that there will be 2 festivals for 2020. The summer edition of the festival was proposed by Sen. Bong Go. (READ: 2 Metro Manila Film Festivals to be held in 2020)
It aims to help the local movie industry address the declining viewership of Filipino films brought about by the influx of foreign films, the MMDA said.
The official entries will be in cinemas from April 11 to 21.
