JoshLia is back!
Former couple Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto will be reuniting together on the big screen this year.
ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and Viva Films are set to produce JosLia’s comeback movie “Un/Happy For You”, to be directed by Petersen Vargas.
A look test sneak peek clip showed Joshua and Julia’s characters’ awkward encounter when they crossed paths after a bad breakup.
“Nung nalaman ko ‘yung project , sabi ko ‘yes agad,” Joshua revealed his initial reaction when the project was offered.
He added, “Before kasi mga teenager pa kami ngayon medyo nag-mature na rin kami…Parang ang exciting lang na nagkanya-kanya kaming journey tapos parang ngayon, magbabalikan kami, sa pelikula.”
Julia, on the other hand, related: “Being reunited with Josh was such an exciting idea. It almost felt like it’s already the right time, it’s the right material, we’re both in a good place in our life and I’m happy na magtatrabaho na tayo ulit.
“It’s more mature, it’s a romance that could be sexy, that could be intense, so as much as the pain is intense, the sexiness could be as intense.”
The former reel and real-life couple starred in several TV shows and films together before their split in 2019. They were last reunited in the heartbreaking music video of Moira Dela Torre’s Paubaya in 2021.
