Chie Filomeno recently shared that she and Jake Cuenca are now on the dating stage and are taking their time.
The Kapamilya actress revealed in an ABS-CBN interview: “We’re talking, taking our time. You can say dating, of course, yes.”
She continued: “Yung maganda kay Jake ay he knows where my heart is. Alam niya ang priority ko and hindi niya ako minamadali, ‘yun ‘yon. Very gentleman siya and he respects my decisions. He is willing to wait.”
Chie added that Jake possesses all the qualities she is looking for in a man.
“Grabe siya magmahal. He is really passionate with his craft. Love na love niya ang family niya. He is really family-oriented, ‘yon ang ina-admire ko sa kanya, mabait.
Amid the relationship status update, a clip of Chie comforting Kylie Verzosa, Jake’s former flame, resurfaced.
In the said clip, Kylie received comfort from Chie and Ruffa Gutierrez who were, at that time, her co-judges in the Sexy Baby segment of an It’s Showtime episode in April 2022.
The beauty queen-turned-actress apparently turned emotional after mainstay host Vice Ganda touched on the topic of couples facing struggles and asked if she’s going through the same situation.
“Hindi. Na-touch lang ako,” replied Kylie.
Kylie earlier sparked breakup rumors with Jake after her crypic “broken” post on X (formerly Twitter).
Jake later confirmed their split in an emotional Instagram post where he noted that he and Kylie maintained to be friends after ending their nearly three years relationship.
Chie and Jake admitted dating in the past but only rekindled their bond at the Star Magic Christmas ball last year.
“’Yung nag-date kami before, nawala kasi ‘yon and then cut to nagkita kami then naging persistent siya, naging patient siya. Kasi medyo ilag pa ako sa kanya noon. Hindi ko siya sinasagot, like parang snob pa ako noon. Dini-deadma ko ang mga DMs niya before but nakita ko naman ‘yung change niya,” Chie was quoted as saying in an ABS-CBN report.
