Ogie Alcasid shared the sad news that his father, Hermino Alcasid Sr., passed away.
“I will miss you so much Dad. My heart grieves knowing you are gone but I am at peace because you are in the loving arms of our Father in heaven. I love you so much Daddy,” Ogie wrote in his post uploaded on Tuesday.
Ogie’s wife Regine Velasquez shared on Tuesday a photo of her son Nate with his Lolo, along with the caption: “We love you Dad.”
Leila Alcasid, Ogie’s eldest child, also posted throwback photos of her as a toddler with Lolo Hermie as she mourned his passing.
Alcasid Sr. was appointed to the board of directors of the Philippine National Oil Development and Management Corporation (PNOC) in 2010 by former president Benigno Aquino III.
As of writing, Ogie has not disclosed the details of his father’s passing.
Meanwhile, the singer-songwriter’s friends in the industry expressed their condolences in the comments section of his post.
