Michael V opens up on how he may have contracted COVID-19

Late July, Michael V revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus disease. In his most recent vlog, he finally disclosed how he may have contracted the virus.

The comedian, who is fondly called Bitoy, said he travelled to Batangas in July. At first, he suspected he caught the virus from three people he interacted with on their trip but they all tested negative.

His wife and kids tested negative for the disease, which meant he didn’t catch the virus in Batangas. He then shared that one out of his four househelps tested positive but was asymptomatic.

“So saan ko kaya nakuha yung virus? Ang duda ko sa deliveries,” he revealed.

The Bubble Gang mainstay said that even though they sanitize their packages, he must have been too excited to receive an item that he used it without making sure it was clean first.

Since then, Bitoy said, their packages from online deliveries are sanitized and placed under a UV light for disinfecting.

He also asked his followers to offer a prayer for anyone they know who is battling the virus.

Bitoy then shared that one of the hardest battles during his quarantine is sadness since he is currently self-isolating at home, away from his family.

He added that the stigma that comes with being a COVID-19 patient adds to the blow of being ill. The funnyman then revealed that he and his family were harassed.

Thankfully, Bitoy is already on his 11th day without symptoms of the illness. He shared that once he hits his 14th day without any symptoms, he will finally receive a certificate confirming that he is free from COVID-19.

“Ako po si Michael V and I claim in His name ako po ay COVID survivor,” he ended.
