Michael Argente, best known as the comedian Kim Idol, has passed away on July 13. The comedian’s passing was confirmed by his friend Allan K.
On Instagram, the Eat Bulaga host shared his farewell message for his dear friend.
“You were one of the best talents Klownz and Zirkoh have ever had. One of the funniest on and off stage. You will always be remembered by people whose lives you touched through comedy. Rest in peace Kim Idol. We will miss you,” he wrote.
His mother Maria Argente took to social media to express her grief, highlighting that her son was a hero for choosing to work as a frontliner during the pandemic.
“Maganda alaala ang iniwan mo anak lalo na sa mga Covid victim na pinasaya mo inawitan mo. Sabi mo bumilis ang kanilang paggaling kasi nawawala ang kanilang lungkot hindi mo lang alam ang takot ni mama pero dahil gusto mo nga mag work bilang frontliner pumayag na si mama,” she said.
“Sobrang saya mo ng ibalita mo sakin na kahit nakasalamuha mo sila negative result mo. Sobrang proud ako sayo anak maraming sumasaludo sayo, para sa akin anak isa kang bayani,” she added.
Early July, Kim was in critical condition after being found unconscious in the Philippine Arena. He was a marshal for the Bureau of Quarantine at the makeshift COVID-19 quarantine facility.
In a Facebook post, his mother, clarified that his son was not infected by COVID-19 and that the incident was caused by his rare medical condition, arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
