‘My greatest fear is bringing the virus home’: Carol Banawa shares her fears as a frontliner in the U.S.

Early April, Carol Banawa revealed she is one of the healthcare workers on the frontlines of the United States’ battle against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a report from Pilipino Star Ngayon, the former singer-actress shared her fears as a mother and a nurse.

“My greatest fear is bringing the virus home. Kasi like my daughter, she’s considered high risk kasi may asthma siya. My husband, he’s in the military,” she explained.

Banawa shared their preventive measures at home. Before greeting their kids, she goes straight to the bathroom to shower and disinfect.

She also acknowledged the hard work of her fellow Filipino nurses all over the world.

“Masarap ang pakiramdam kapag kasama ninyo ang mga kababayan niyo sa trabaho. If you give a Filipino a task, we do it the best way that we can. Sa lahat ng Filipino nurses all over the world, alam ko po wala pa po sa kalingkingan yung na-contribute ko para po maitulong sa pandemic na ito. But I am trying my best in my own little way. Saludo po kami sa inyo,” she said.
