In an interview with Tonight With Boy Abunda, Nadine Lustre finally spoke up on her father’s cryptic Facebook posts.
Ulysses “Dong” Lustre made headlines early October after his controversial posts went viral. In a status post, the actress’ father said he was “entitled” to a rant once in a while.
The post read: “I’m Flop and you’re High Gross, what are you afraid of. You feel so threatened, you’re desperate to break US apart. I hope someday you get what you deserve. What comes around, goes around.”
This gathered flak from fans of Kathryn Bernardo, claiming “High Gross” pertained to their idol, who starred in Hello, Love, Goodbye, Star Magic’s highest-grossing film ever.
Nadine’s father had clarified that his post was not referring to anyone.
Nevertheless, Nadine said that the incident happened when she was off social media and she had only seen her father’s posts “after more than a week”.
“Before he did this, I haven’t talked to him about anything. I’m not my dad so we don’t have the same brain — we don’t think alike,” she said.
“Kung sino man yung na-offend niya or nasaktan niya with what he said, ako humihingi na po ako ng paumanhin,” she added.
Nadine also clarified that she has talked to his father about the issue already, telling him what he did was not right.
“We talked about it na and I told him that wasn’t right… Wala namang hindi naaayos sa magandang pag-uusap,” she ended.
