For her 38th birthday, Vanessa Bryant found a love letter her husband, Kobe Bryant left for her special day.
On Wednesday, she took to Instagram to share how much she looked forward to finally opening the letter.
Her post read: “Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi. I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today. The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my life and my sweet little Mamacita- my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together.”
Last May 1, their daughter Gianna, would have turned 14 if not for the untimely accident.
On Instagram, Vanessa wrote about how she misses her daughter’s smile, hugs and giggles.
“Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me,” she wrote.
On January 27, Kobe and Gianna were tragically killed in a helicopter crash. A fire broke out in the S-76 helicopter, perishing all 9 people on board. (READ: Basketball legend Kobe Bryant killed in helicopter crash)
