Mom proud of son who used scholarship allowance to help neighbors in need

A first-year college student from Taguig City University used a portion of his scholarship allowance to help neighbors who have not received relief goods amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mother Yolanda Oribiana Verceles proudly shared the heartwarming act of her son in a Facebook post last April 26.

Yolanda said she was surprised and happy to learn about her son’s decision to buy rice and distribute it among neighbors in need of help.

His son then bought and repacked 25 kilograms of rice into 1 kilogram packages for distribution.

Yolanda couldn’t forget the look of joy on her son’s face after their rice distribution.

Yolanda’s post has since gone viral with over 50,000 reactions and 10,000 shares on Facebook as of writing.
