Ice Seguerra paid tribute to his father Decoroso “Dick” Seguerra as the singer announced the sad news of his passing on social media.
Ice lost his father on Sunday, November 15, after a bout with cancer.
He managed to joke amid the grief that his father is now up in heaven jamming with his music idols Matt Monroe and Frank Sinatra.
Sense of humor was also his father’s most endearing quality, Ice fondly recalled.
“An awesome father, husband, brother, lolo, friend, leader; he has touched many lives by his kindness, gentle support and most of all, his sense of humor,” he said.
Just a few weeks ago, Ice shared that his family were able to say farewell to their father after he told them he was “ready” to go.
“Tinawag niya kaming lahat nung isang araw, handa na raw siya. He talked to all of us, with so much love and gratitude. Pagkatapos nun, ang sabi niya sa aming lahat, ‘masaya ako,’” he wrote.
On Facebook, Liza Diño shared Ice and Daddy Dick’s last moments together. She shared that he died surrounded by love and support from his family.
