After announcing she was on her way to retirement, Sharon Cuneta assured her fans that she will not just “disappear” since she has promises and contracts to fulfill.
Addressing her 1.3 million followers on Instagram as “kids”, the veteran actress and singer asked them not to be upset by the news of her retirement.
“Kids, please don’t be sad! I still have a few promises & contracts to fulfill. Just seeing as we don’t know yet when this pandemic is leaving or when a vaccine is gonna be discovered, I am preparing for my retirement,” she explained.
The Megastar also revealed that her plan was to retire after marrying her current husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan when she was 30 years old but this did not happen because she was “taking cues from God.”
“Don’t worry about me — my parents always prepared me for this! And I’ve been getting ready to retire for another two decades,” she said.
She then assured her fans that while she will not just go away, they should be ready for when she steps back from the limelight.
“I’m not just gonna instantly disappear! I owe you that much. But please ready yourselves, okay?” she asked.
Sharon made her announcement that it is “almost time” for her retirement last October 11.
