LOOK: St. Luke’s frontliners can shop for free at hospital’s makeshift grocery store

-

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig opened a makeshift store with free grocery items for their frontliners on Friday.

On Facebook, they said the move organized by the hospital executives is a token of appreciation for their heroic efforts to provide patient care amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

“Our frontliners can choose from the array of food and other essentials they can use or share with their loved ones,” they wrote.

The Quezon City branch of SLMC will have their care store on April 7, Friday.

On March 24, the SLMC management said the two hospitals will no longer accommodate COVID-19 patients for confinement after both institutions have reached full capacity.

At that time, they were collectively caring for 48 COVID-19-infected patients and 139 patients under investigation with 592 of their own healthcare workers under quarantine.
