DongYan gets ‘Sinovaxed’

Dingdong Dantes, along with his wife Marian Rivera, finally got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine over the weekend.

On social media, Dingdong shared that he pushed through with the vaccination despite feeling nervous about getting inoculated against the coronavirus.

The celebrity couple are under the A4 priority group which includes workers in the private, public and informal sectors who are physically reporting to work or assigned to perform field work.

“Sa linya ng aming trabaho, madalas ay kailangan magshoot sa labas. Kapag sasabak na sa eksena, mask-off. Kailangan naming tanggalin ang aming first line of defense sa COVID-19,” he wrote.

Dingdong and Marian received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine on June 12, the Philippines’ Independence Day at Taguig.

The actor opened up that despite his initial apprehension, he and his wife got themselves vaccinated after research and consultation with experts.

“This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community,” he ended.

The inoculation of those belonging in the A4 category started on June 7. An estimated 3.5 million frontline workers are listed under the essential sectors.
