After their “baby reveal,” is marriage next for Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson?
In a recent interview on TV Patrol, Janella said that she and her Filipino-British partner are still focused on their roles as first-time parents and not rushing into marriage.
“Wala pa, hindi kami nagmamadali about that. For now, ‘yung focus namin is to raise Jude muna,” said Janella.
Janella and Markus introduced their son Jude Trevor in their first-ever vlog on YouTube, confirming rumors that the actress gave birth in the UK October last year.
Janella said that she kept her pregnancy under wraps not for “selfish reasons” but because she wanted to privately enjoy the moment of being a first-time mom.
“I wasn’t hiding it for selfish reasons. I wanted to hide it because I wanted to cherish the moment in my life, na first time ko maging mom. ‘Yung wala munang ingay, ‘yung may sarili muna akong moment to enjoy it.”
She added, “It was really hard. Of course, I was getting comments na, ‘Kinahihiya mo ba?’, ‘Hindi ka ba proud?’ I don’t think any mom would want to hide his or her baby.”
