‘Born silent’: Christina Perri grieves death of second child

American singer-songwriter Christina Perri took to social media to share her heartbreaking news that she lost her daughter.

On Twitter, she said their baby girl was born silent. In her post, she included a photo of her and her husband Paul Costabile holding their late daughter’s hand.

“Last night we lost our baby girl. She was born silent after fighting so hard to make it to our world. She is at peace now & will live forever in our hearts,” she said.

The Jar of Hearts singer’s last post on Instagram before sharing the news were photos from her maternity shoot. In the same post, she shared that after her miscarriage back in January, she was grateful to be pregnant again.

“I truly am grateful to be pregnant and grateful to be a woman. I am so blown away by what our bodies can do. I don’t know if I’ll ever be pregnant again, so this time I’m going to celebrate and honor my pregnancy, my baby & my beautiful body,” she wrote.

Christina and Paul have one daughter, Carmella Constabile. She was born on January 17, 2018. After a miscarriage in January, the singer announced that she was pregnant again last July.
