Tekken director approves of Nadine Lustre’s Josie Rizal cosplay

Nadine Lustre got the nod of approval from Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada after dressing up as Josie Rizal, the first-ever playable Filipino character in the popular video game.

Harada, a Japanese game producer and director, just had one thing to say about Nadine’s cosplay: “Perfect.”

Harada recently made the comment after a Nadine fan shared a photo of the actress-singer wearing the Tekken fighter’s outfit — yellow sleeves, blue and red short skirt, and sun-themed accessories.

The photo was originally posted by celebrity photographer Andrei Suleik on Instagram last Halloween.

Josie Rizal, a character named after Philippines’ national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, was introduced in 2015 for Tekken’s seventh installment. She specializes in kickboxing and the Filipino martial arts Eskrima.
