Dimples Romana and husband Boyet Ahmee surprised their beloved kasambahay with a brand-new home as gratitude for her 17 years of service.
Ate V, as the family fondly calls her, was invited by Dimples and Boyet to be part of their latest vlog about a newly-bought property. The couple has been known to invest heavily in real estate, but the latest acquisition turned out to be a gift for their long-time househelp.
Dimples and Boyet first asked the clueless Ate V to be their “approving committee” to see if the new house and lot also had her stamp of approval.
During the 25-minute vlog, they checked on every area of the two-storey house with Ate V joking from time to time, “Parang akin lang.”
They then arrived at a room that had a standee of Ate V and its wall decorated with balloons that read “Oo para sayo ito”.
Dimples and Boyet then asked if she liked the house.
Ate V, who was in disbelief, broke down in tears and expressed her gratitude to the couple.
“Bakit ako? Hindi ko inaasahan. Akala ko paparentahan ito, bakit sa akin pala ito,” said Ate V.
The couple also became emotional after seeing Ate V’s reaction.
“Thank you. Thank you. Salamat sa inyong dalawa,” Ate V said almost out words.
Dimples said that it was their way of giving back to Ate V whom they consider a part of their family.
“Maibabalik na namin sayo Ate V ang maraming taon ng serbisyo mo sa amin na para bang mga kapatid mo na kami. Mahal na mahal ka namin. Sana nagustuhan mo ? Ilang taon ko na din iniipunan ito para sa iyo,” said Dimples in an Instagram post.
In the vlog, Dimples also recalled the time when Ate V chose to stay with them even though they could not give her salary on time due to lack of finances.
“May mga buwan na hindi ko naswelduhan yan si Ate V. Late kami nag-sweldo kasi abot-abot yung bills namin ni Boyet ang dami naming binayaran. Pero si Ate V never siyang umalis samin,” shared Dimple.
