English-American actress Lily Collins just got engaged!
The Love, Rosie star on Friday took to Instagram to announce her engagement to American writer-director Charlie McDowell following a one-year romance.
Lily shared a series of photos of the moment her new fiancé popped the question.
“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…,” wrote Lily.
In a separate photo, the daughter of music icon Phil Collins beamed while flaunting her precious diamond ring with the caption: “The purest joy I’ve ever felt…”
Charlie, on the other hand, also posted the same close-up photo of Lily on his Instagram account.
“In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you. ??,” wrote Charlie.
According to the US press, Charlie is showbiz royalty himself, being the son of actors Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, while his stepfather is Ted Danson. He previously dated Oscar winner Rooney Mara and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke.
It was only last year when Lily and Charlie began dating, with the former making their relationship Instagram official in August 2019.
