Photos of a man trying to fix his improvised bicycle went viral after netizens sought assistance for him on social media.
Facebook user Roswel Placigo on September 14 shared photos of a 52-year-old man identified as Jhonny Cuevas from Tacloban City stopping by the side of a road along the Palo market in Leyte to repair his worn-out bike, which had rubber and bamboo keeping its parts together.
Placigo shared that Cuevas has been trying to make both ends meet for him and his wife by going to different places on his bike for umbrella repairs.
“Eto po yung (isang) tatay na nag-aayos ng kanyang bike…kawawa po sya…kung mayron po kayung maitotolong…sana po matolongan niyo po sya…,” wrote Placigo in a Facebook post.
The Facebook post has since gone viral and caught the attention of netizens who, in the comments section, have offered to extend assistance to Cuevas.
Others also tagged Gretchen Ho and Raffy Tulfo in hopes of getting help from the two TV personalities.
In another Facbook post, Placigo shared other details on how willing individuals can reach out and extend any help to Cuevas.
“Sa mga nagtatanong at gustong tumulong yan po ang address ni tatay…kilala po sila sa kanilang barangay na kailangan po ng tulong. Muli kami po ay kumakatok sa inyo para po sa kanilang mag-asawa. Muli kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa mga taong nagbibigay ng tulong para po sa mag-asawa,” he said.
