Winwyn Marquez has started her training to become a military reservist of the Philippine Navy.
The Kapuso actress and beauty queen on Saturday shared photos of her undergoing the basic citizen’s military training, sharing that she was even voted as the class president of her batch.
“BCMC CLASS 01 2020 – Class President, Marquez. Hooyah!! #PhNavyReserveForce,” wrote Winwyn.
She added, “*Congrats sa lahat! Class 01 lets do this.. ? Strict protocol was followed and everyone was required to do a rapid test before anything else ✊.”
Back in February, Winwyn revealed via an Instagram post that she enrolled for the military training to show “what women can do”.
“People are asking me why I want to do this… I simply said because I want to… that’s it,” she said.
“No need for long explanations. We don’t need to justify what we want to do, we can just show them what we woman CAN do,” she added.
Winwyn is the latest addition to the roster of celebrity reservists. Among them are fellow Kapuso stars Rocco Nacino and Dingdong Dantes.
