Actress Ritz Azul is set to walk down the aisle as she got engaged to non-showbiz boyfriend Allan Guy.
The Los Bastardos actress shared the happy news on Instagram over the weekend as she shared photos of her flexing the engagement ring and holding a bouquet of flowers with her fiancé.
“This Guy’s in love with me, pare. I love you too, Allan Guy,” she wrote in the caption.
The proposal, which was supposed to be done in Switzerland, was instead held at Allan’s family farm in Batangas due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ritz called the proposal a magical moment despite the hindrances: “Umuulan pa pero nung moment na magpo-propose na sya, nag-clear ang langit at kita pa ang bundok. Pagkatapos nyang mag-propose, umulan ulit. Sobrang magical. Napabanggit ako ng ‘Salamat sa Dios.’”
In a separate post, Ritz recalled how their love story started.
She recalled her and Allan being the “best of friends” until one day he fell for her, and confessed his true feelings.
At that time, Ritz kept the vow to herself: “Hindi ako naghahanap ng boyfriend dahil nangako ako sa sarili ko na hindi ako magaasawa para hindi ako mahirapan in the future.”
She then told Allan to look for others and not waste his time on her. But Allan’s perseverance and patience paid off as he willingly waited for her.
