Sen. Grace Poe joins coronavirus relief efforts

Senator Grace Poe has donated sacks of rice, PPE, alcohol and masks to the municipalities of Angono and Taytay in Rizal.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the senator shared photos of the Ang Panday Bayanihan’s relief operations.

Poe added that they will also reach out to other areas affected by the coronavirus crisis in the country.

Poe earlier distributed 1,000 FDA-approved rapid test kits among barangay health centers in Metro Manila.

“Isa itong hakbang tungo sa mabilis na pagtukoy ng mga may Covid-19 sa isang lokalidad upang mapabilis ang contact tracing at maiwasan ang paglaganap pa ng sakit,” she said.

Lawmakers from the House of Representatives have earlier pledged to donate their salaries to aid in the government’s efforts to fight COVID-19.
