DJ Chacha, Sen. Bato Dela Rosa engage in word war over ABS-CBN franchise renewal issue

Radio DJ Czarina Balba, better known as DJ Chacha, and Senator Ronaldo “Bato” Dela Rosa have engaged in a word war over the franchise renewal issue of ABS-CBN.

Reacting to Dela Rosa’s stand on the media giant’s franchise renewal, DJ Chacha mocked Dela Rosa’s loyalty to President Duterte, and urged him to just resign from the senate and apply as the president’s personal bodyguard instead.

“I suggest mag-resign na dapat si Senator Bato sa pagiging senador at mag-apply na Bodyguard ng Presidente, tutal naman ang loyalty niya ay sa Pangulo at hindi sa taong bayan,” the radio host tweeted on Tuesday.

The radio personality was referring Dela Rosa’s comment on Tuesday about the 11,000 employees who could lose their jobs with the possible shutdown of the network.

He answered: “What is 11,000 compared to the whole Filipino nation na matagal nang sinamantalahan ng isang kompanya kung talagang ma-prove yan sa hearing? What is 11,000 compared to the whole Filipino nation?”

In another tweet, DJ Chacha said she believes Dela Rosa loves the president more than his wife.

“Naniniwala akong mas mahal ni Bato ang Pangulo kaysa sa asawa niya. Nangako pa hanggang kamatayan! Taray! IBA,” she said along with the hashtag #itopoangbinotoniyo.

She also took a swipe at the senator’s U.S. visa cancellation.

“My next vlog is for Senator Bato. I’ll give tips kung paano ako nakakuha ng 10-years Multiple Entry US Visa. Para di’ na siya mag-tantrums.”

Dela Rosa, on his part, fired back and said, “I was voted upon by 19 million Filipinos at yung tumatawag sa aking resignation ang binoto niya yung mga natalo.”

In an ABS-CBN tweet, the senator also admitted that he felt insulted with DJ Cha-Cha’s remark.

“Ang hirap mangampanya bilang senador tapos ipapag-resign niya ako?” he said.

The two became trending topics on Twitter.
