LOOK: Kapamilya network launches prayer brigade amid franchise renewal issue

The Kapamilya network has started calling for prayers following the quo warranto petition filed by the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) asking the Supreme Court (SC) to cancel ABS-CBN’s franchise.

The media giant, however, maintained that it did not violate the law after the OSG accused ABS-CBN of “highly-abusive practices”.

The invitation circulating on social media encourages “all Kapamilyas to come together in prayer wherever we may be everyday, at exactly 12:00 noon.”

More Kapamilya stars are taking a stand against potential shutdown and showing support for the franchise renewal of their home network.

The channel’s social media accounts also changed their profile picture to the ABS-CBN logo with the black background along with their tagline “in the service of the Filipino people.”

The company’s franchise is set to expire on March 30.

The prayer reads:

Our Father In Heaven,

Thank you for your mercy, grace, and favor. You are a good and loving God. We come to you believing You hear our prayer in our time of need.

We lean on You as our refuge and strength, our ever present help during these challenging times.

We ask You Lord in behalf of all of us that you have given the privilege to work here at ABS-CBN to make a way dear God that we would be granted the renewal of our franchise.

We know that all things come from You. Give us the chance to continue working for ABS-CBN to provide for our families and be of service to Filipinos all over the world.

Give us Your wisdom, Your heart, Your purpose.

We love You and we trust You Lord!

We are counting on Your faithfulness.

In Jesus name, we pray and believe.

Amen.
