Gerald Anderson is the new Philippine Youth Commission Ambassador

The Philippine Youth Commission has recently appointed Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson as its new ambassador.

According to a report by Philstar.com, the 30-year-old actor was chosen to be the next ambassador by the Philippine Youth Commission — headed by KASAMA (Kabataang Sama-samang Maglilingkod) resident Gerald Ortiz with ULAP (Union of Local authority of the Philippines) president and Quirino governor Dakila “Dax” Cua, KASAMA National Adviser Nellie King and Senator Imee Marcos.

“I’m very honored, very proud and I’m very excited kasi merong panibagong platform para makatulong sa ibang tao,” he said.

Speaking before 900 Sangguniang Kabataan leaders all over the country at a ceremony last December 8 at the Grand Ballroom of Venus Hotel in Baguio City, Gerald recalled a time when he realized how being a celebrity can influence the public to aid those who are in need.

Gerald plans on inspiring the youth, and show how it’s important to help others with the best of their abilities.

Meanwhile, Star Magic congratulated Gerald for his achievement.
