Kadenang Ginto stars Seth Fedelin and Andrea Brillantes shared their views on love and relationships in today’s generation.
Seth and Andrea’s loveteam, endearingly called as SethDrea, will be starring in an upcoming rom-com film on iWant called Wild Little Love.
In a report by Pang-Masa, the Kapamilya teens answered questions on how they define love in their generation during the mediacon of their movie debut.
Carmina Villarroel, who plays the role of Andrea’s mom in the movie, also chimed in and asked the loveteam if they believe that putting a label on a relationship matters.
“Okay, wait, puwede bang dagdagan ko ‘yun, kasi ‘di ba, ‘yung generation kasi natin, meron na ‘yung nagliligawan o kaya MU (mutual understanding), tapos mag-boyfriend, tapos ‘pag naghiwalay, hiwalay. Wala na ‘yung in-between,” Carmina started off.
“Kayo ba may ligawan?” Carmina asked the young stars, “Hindi sa inyong dalawa, ha, du’n sa generation n’yo. May ligawan portion ba at kung meron, so meron ding girlfriend-boyfriend, naniniwala rin kayo sa label?”
Both answered that courting and labeling still exist until now. “Pero ang sad kasi ngayon mas nauuso ang MU, ghosting, ganun,” Andrea added.
Ghosting is described as the act of walking away from a relationship without warning or explanation. In short, “ghosters” suddenly disappear.
Carmina further inquired, “So, mas gusto n’yo ‘yung ganu’n na may ligawan? Mas gusto n’yo bang malinaw?”
Both Andrea and Seth agreed that having a label in a relationship is important.
“Para ‘pag sa ‘yo, sa ‘yo. Hindi ka maghahanap ng posisyon mo,” Andrea affirmed.
The young onscreen couple’s film debut this November tells the story of a wild rich girl and a poor chick boy who will fall for each other and make things work despite different socio-economic backgrounds.
