Are Sarah Geronimo’s parents against her engagement with Matteo Guidicelli?

Early today, Matteo Guidicelli issued an apology addressed to Sarah Geronimo’s parents. The 29-year-old athlete-actor said he hopes they would become one family.

The two have been engaged for a year already but they decided to announce the big news just a week ago.

“Tito Delfin and Tita Divine, if there have been hard feelings or events that were not supposed to happen in the past, I humbly apologize. I assure you that I will give Sarah a happy life with the best of my capabilities.

“With pure, honest love and respect. We wish to move forward with our life plans and begin this brand new chapter of our life,” he said in an Instagram post.

Matteo, addressing her wife-to-be’s parents, continued on to say that he hopes they will be a family soon, making some followers wonder if he is hinting at a misunderstanding between them.

Nevertheless, he assured that he loves Sarah and her family.

“Mahal na mahal ko po si Sarah. Mahal ko din po kayung magulang nya at mga kapatid nya. Hangad ko po na maging isang pamilya tayo. Pangako ko po na aalagan ko si Sarah na kapareho ng pangangalago nyo sa kanya,” he said.

Support from their friends and fellow celebrities poured in immediately after he posted his heartfelt message.

“Praying for you both Matt..” actress Judy Ann Santos said.

“We got your back bro,” Ryan Agoncillo showed his support for Matteo.

“Great job u two!!!! I love this @matteog more blessings to u both! Keep choosing each other! Congratulations,” actress Denise Laurel said.
