TJ Monterde has a new single with his “chingu” (friend), South Korean singer-songwriter 10CM, the voice behind the OSTs for K-drama favorites such as “Lovely Runner,” “Crash Landing On You” and “Queen of Tears.”
Their close friendship was on full display when they reunited at the final night of TJ’s sold-out thre-night consecutive “Sarili Nating Mundo” concert series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from February 1 to 3, 2025.
TJ once again shared the stage with 10CM, whom he introduced as his “idol,” delighting the audience with a performance of the later’s hit song, “Spring Snow,” an official of soundtrack of the “Lovely Runner” series.
The duo also performed for the first time their unreleased collaboration, “Silver,” a song about friendship which will be soon be available on digital platforms worldwide.
“Sa dinami-dami ng artists sa buong mundo, ako ‘yung napakinggan niya at nagustuhan niya ‘yung song ko,” TJ quipped, recalling his astonishment when 10cm’s management reached out in 2023 for a possible collaboration.
The two, both fans of each other’s music, first performed together last year at TJ’s “Sariling Mundo” concert at the New Frontier Theater, where they sang a duet of “Palagi.”
“It’s a pleasure of mine to see you now performing in a bigger venue. I’m so so happy for you,” 10cm congratulated TJ.
TJ made history as the first solo male artist to stage a three consecutive shows at The Big Dome. His hit song “Palagi” was also recognized by Billboard Philippines as the No. 1 song of 2024.
