OPM hitmaker Kitchie Nadal is parting ways with her iconic Parker Fly Deluxe guitar, which has been her companion in her musical journey for over two decades.
In an Instagram post, Nadal shared the bittersweet news, describing the electric guitar as a “true gem” that has played a vital role in her career and offering to a new home.
“I’m parting ways with my beloved Parker Fly Deluxe guitar, which has been with me for over 20 years! This guitar is a true gem — incredibly versatile, lightweight (it’s traveled with me all over the world), and built to last,” Nadal wrote.
The singer, known for her classic hits “Same Ground,” “Bulong,” and “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin,” expressed her hope that the instrument would continue to inspire music in the hands of a new owner.
“This guitar has served me well, but it’s time for it to find a new home where it can keep inspiring music!” she added, providing her email address for interested buyers.
Fans and fellow musicians have expressed admiration for Nadal’s decision, with many reminiscing about the guitar’s role in shaping her sound and iconic performances. Some even mentioned P-pop girl group BINI member Maloi, who has been vocal about being a fan of Kitchie.
Nadal previously held her anniversary concert titled “SAME GROUND” on June of last year in celebration of her two-decade-old musical career.
This year, Kitchie will reunite once again with her fellow Pinay rock queens Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal and Lougee Basabas for another run of their sold-out concert, “Tanaw”, on Februray 9.
