David Licauco is reportedly no longer together with his non-showbiz girlfriend.
The Kapuso actor’s relationship status was apparently revealed in a social media post by GMA’s talent management arm Sparkle vice president Joy Marcelo.
In an Instagram Story posted in December 2024, Marcelo shared a photo of her together with David and fellow actor Nikki Co.
“Mga single ngayong pasko!!!! @davidlicauco @nikkico_,” Marcelo wrote as caption.
Barbie and David’s love team earned popularity after their accidental team-up in the historical TV drama series “Maria, Clara, Ibarra.” The two have since starred in other projects together like “Pulang Araw,” “Maging Sino Ka Man,” and “That Kind of Love.”
“Shippers” of BarDa, the “uniname” for Barbie Forteza and David’s tandem, have since been abuzz on the two’s potential offscreen pairing.
The said Instagram story resurfaced following Barbie Forteza’s confirmation that she and longtime boyfriend Jak Roberto have ended their seven-year romance.
David previously admitted in June 2024 that he was “taken” but never disclosed his girlfriend’s identity, nor “hard launched” his relationship on social media.
His recent Instagram posts including a year-end carousel also showed no sign of his ex.
Meanwhile, Jak is still mum on his breakup with Barbie.
