Cesar Montano has reacted to his ex-wife Sunshine Cruz’s newfound relationship with businessman Atong Ang.
The actor’s response comes after Ang finally confirmed his then-rumored romance with the former sexy actress after being hounded with speculations about the real score of their relationship.
The pair had been spotted together on multiple occassions and just recently, had been captured sharing kisses in videos that has since gone viral.
In an interview with the Philippine STAR, Cesar shared his reaction to his former spouse’s new relationship status.
“Saludo ako kay Atong for being man enough to admit his relationship with Shine. I sincerely wish that they will live happily ever after. They both deserve to be happy,” he told STAR.
He expressed his happiness for the mother of their three daughters, saying, “When Shine is happy, that means our three daughters are happy, too. And as a father, my daughters’ happiness is mine as well.”
Sunshine and Cesar separated in 2013 and had their marriage annulled in 2018. The actress later entered a nearly six-year relationship with politician Macky Mathay before parting ways in 2022.
Meanwhile, Montano is also currently in a relationship with his non-showbiz partner Kat Angeles.
