TV host and former Amazing Race Asia contestant Marc Nelson recently revealed that he learned scuba diving in Anilao, Batangas when he was 11 years old.

“I’ve been diving in Anilao since I was a kid. My parents were instructors. I learned it at 11 years old. Anilao and I have a very long history,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Philippine STAR/LatestChika.com.

Recalling his experience during the fun dive last November 28, 2024, he said “Anilao is one of the best dive spots in the Philippines. There is so much to see in here.”

Adding, “I always want to be surprised. There is no such thing as identical dive… If you’re scared [of] anything underwater, trust me, the animals are more scared of you.”

The Burmese-Australian television host and model also praised the Department of Tourism headed by Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco for the inaugural program in Batangas.

“The dive experience was wonderful. The DOT secretary has done a very great job. Anilao is one of the best dive spots we have in the Philippines,” he noted.
